Non-medical daily routines

Daily living support

Steady, practical help with the routines that make up an ordinary day — so the week is manageable and independence is kept wherever possible.

What daily living support can include

  • Morning and evening routines, prompting and encouragement rather than taking over
  • Meal planning, preparation and kitchen routines, including groceries
  • Keeping track of appointments and getting to them
  • Practising independent living skills: budgeting steps, laundry, organizing paperwork at home
  • Structure for the week — a predictable pattern that reduces the feeling of everything piling up

Who it may help

Adults who manage most of their day but find certain parts consistently difficult, people adjusting to a change in ability or circumstances, and households where a family member has been quietly carrying all the organizing. Support can be a couple of hours a week or a regular daily visit, depending on what is genuinely useful.

Our scope and how we work

Daily living support is non-medical. We do not provide nursing, medication administration decisions, clinical care or health assessments. Where a need falls outside what we can responsibly do, we say so plainly rather than stretch our scope.

Many households pair this with homemaking support for the household side, or attendant care where more hands-on, one-to-one assistance is needed.
