What "pending" means for you today

Evercare has begun the provider approval and onboarding process for ICBC Personal Care Assistance. That process is not complete. Until it is, we will not describe ourselves as an ICBC-approved provider, and we will never tell you that a service will be covered, authorized, reimbursed or approved. Questions about entitlements, eligibility and payment should go to ICBC or your claim representative.

What we can do now is talk honestly about the non-medical support we already provide privately, and let you know if our status changes.

The kind of non-medical support people ask about

Personal care assistance conversations usually centre on two of our existing services. Both are non-medical: Evercare does not provide nursing, clinical treatment, rehabilitation therapy or medical assessments.

• Homemaking and household support

  Cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and household organization when day-to-day tasks are difficult to manage. Read about homemaking support.

  Respectful one-to-one assistance with daily routines, getting around the home and community, and keeping appointments and plans on track. Read about attendant care.

How to get an accurate answer

1. Speak with ICBC or your claim representative about what your claim includes.
2. Call or email Evercare to describe the practical support you are looking for at home or in the community.
3. We will tell you what we can provide today, and we will tell you clearly if something is outside our scope or still pending.
