Non-medical household support

Homemaking and household support

Practical help with the everyday tasks that keep a home safe, clean and comfortable — delivered respectfully, on a schedule that suits the household.

What homemaking support can include

  • Light housekeeping such as tidying, surfaces, floors and bathrooms
  • Laundry, folding and putting away clothing and linens
  • Meal preparation and help with groceries and kitchen routines
  • Organizing living spaces so they are easier and safer to move through
  • Keeping household routines consistent week to week

Who it helps

Homemaking support is often requested by adults who want to keep living independently, by families balancing caregiving with work, and by people whose household routines have become harder to keep up with. It is frequently combined with attendant care or short-term respite so the whole week feels manageable.

What it is not

Homemaking is a non-medical service. Evercare support workers do not provide nursing, clinical treatment or medical assessments.
